2022 Père de Famille
Cabernet Sauvignon
Regular price $85.0094 Points - James Suckling
94-97 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
Bordeaux-style Cabernet Sauvignon, comprised of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot
Cassis, hints of blue fruits, graphite, violets, and lead pencil notes, as well as a beautiful sense of minerality, all emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Pere De Famille, a deep, rich, medium to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that has a seamless mouthfeel, ripe yet building tannins, and a great finish. It's a gem and not far off the 2021.

Tasting Notes
Quintessential Washington Cabernet Sauvignon. That was the quest that we embarked upon over twenty years ago, when the first vintage of Père de Famille, the Father of the Family, was resting in the cellar. The journey to find it has had us crisscrossing the state ever since, exploring vineyards from the Western Yakima Valley to Walla Walla, searching for superlative, expressive parcels. After two decades of stained hands, purple teeth, and dusty shoes, we think we’re on to something: a wine that expresses the powerful and penetrating soul of Columbia Valley Cabernet.
