The 2022 vintage of Betz Family Winery's La Côte Rousse is sourced from the Olsen vineyard in the esteemed Yakima Valley. Stemming from its original roots in Red Mountain, this vintage is a testament to Washington's prowess in producing wines of exceptional quality. The Yakima Valley AVA is characterized by its diverse climate and optimal growing conditions, which impart a unique sense of place to the wine and enrich its complexity and depth.

Brimming with dark fruits and underscored by powerful tannins, each sip unfolds a story of the Yakima Valley's terroir. In every glass of this Syrah, one can discern the harmonious marriage between the varietal's essence and the terroir's expression.

"Light to medium ruby-blue core with a fluorescent purple rim in the glass, the 2022 La Côte Rousse Syrah from Betz is phenomenal and is made by master winemaker Louis Skinner. Purple flowers pop on the nose to start, moving to gorgeous notes of freshly picked marionberries, grilled beef ribs, olive brine, white peppercorn, scorched herbs, and pink grapefruit pith. Expansive and broad across the palate, it’s incredibly well made and has the stuff to age for a decade or more. Tannins are sweet and a bit grippy, while the perfected levels of acidity help with the spicy and complex finish."
